Southern Europe - Portugal
Aroma: Concentrated, standing out aromas of ripe red fruits cistus and violet.
Flavor: Good structure, with round tannins. Persistent end.
Winemaking: The grapes come from vineyards with about 12 years of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca and Touriga Fêmea. The grapes were vinified in 8 tons lagar and a small part in stainless vats and were totally destemned. The must was fermented for about a week to 25-27C with automatic step and with daily pumping over.
Varieties: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca and Touriga Fêmea.
Stage: about 70% of the wine aged for 30 months in stainless steel vats and the rest in 3rd and 4th year French oak barrels of 225 liters.
